Two Cobble Hill Puzzles Ordered Today (Tea Time & Vintage Nancy Drew)

Today I ordered these two 1000-piece puzzles from Puzzle Warehouse. Both are by Cobble Hill. I'll post more details once I start them :)

I am SO excited about both of these puzzles. The first one is Tea Time.  I have never prepared a jigsaw for hanging, but I want this one hanging in my kitchen.  I can't wait!

I love all of the details in this puzzle and I look forward to being able to read all the words, too. I love tea, tea parties, and everything tea-related.

The second puzzle I ordered is Vintage Nancy Drew.  I am an avid mystery fan, especially of the traditional/cozy variety. I blog about cozies at cherylscozycorners.com. I read many Nancy Drew (and Hardy Boys) as a kid and have not added any to my Goodreads list because I planned to do that as I re-read them. I think this puzzle will inspire me to get started on that plan.

I am not sure whether this puzzle is randomly shaped or not.  I'll add more info once I start the puzzle.

I am (slowly) writing a cozy mystery, too. If and when I put together a proper writing area, perhaps this puzzle should hang there. I'll have to give that some thought.

Like these listed here, I tend to do puzzles that are about 1000-1500 pieces. Normally they are "normal" or "traditional" puzzle piece shaped.

What kind of puzzles do you enjoy most? Do you have a favorite size (number of pieces) or puzzle piece shape you prefer?  I'd love to hear about it!

Teapots by Cobble Hill - 1000-pieces

I'm currently working on Teapots from Cobble Hill. It is a 1000-piece puzzle. The puzzle pieces are random.

I am enjoying putting this one together, but it is slower going than I'm used to. I chalk that up to the random puzzle pieces and there is a lot of white(ish) porcelain and red background.

Here are a few photos showing progress up until yesterday.  I plan to puzzle more a bit later tonight. One of my cats has decided it is her time to hang out with me :)

Two close-up views:

Here is one with my cat Dot. She joins me within minutes of me getting to work. :)

I have two cats and they are amazingly good at leaving my puzzles alone. When I'm not puzzling, I just cover the puzzle, the box, and my cookie sheet trays full of pieces under a towel.  In return, they get extra love.

Are you currently working on a puzzle?  I'd love to hear about it and/or receive a link to your progress photos/blog. Just let me know below.

Thanks for stopping by!
